What is the Stokvel of the Mind?
A closed circle of ten entrepreneurs who meet in person over food and drink. Each gathering, one member's live bottleneck gets the full attention of the other nine, and they leave with a decision they can act on.
Does it cost anything?
No. There's no membership fee. No cash, retainers or equity change hands between members — the only thing pooled is thinking.
Where and how often do you meet?
In Johannesburg, in members' homes, every second week.
Who is it for?
People running something real — a venture with weight on it, not just a plan. You bring a skill the other nine don't already have, you give as hard as you take, and you can be challenged without flinching.
How many people are in a circle?
Ten. Every circle is built so the four pillars are represented and no two members solve problems the same way.
What are the four pillars?
Operations & Systems, Sales & Marketing, Tech & Product and Creative & Strategy. You bring one; you borrow the other three.
What's the commitment?
Showing up in person every second week, and giving your full attention when it's someone else's turn in the spotlight.
When does Cohort 01 start?
Applications are open now. We'll share dates directly with the people selected.
What happens after I apply?
We read every application and come back to you before the first circle is closed.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The application is a short form — about five minutes — and your answers save in your browser as you go.
